Next stopp Vienna - Registration is open for our successful seminar series on “Case law supported by the BoA of the EPO”.

The Examination Board of the European qualifying examination is looking for volunteers from epi (5 per paper) to bench mark the 2025 papers A, B, C and D. Volunteers will be expected to sit one or more of the papers under the same conditions as candidates.

On January 15, 2025, an epi delegation led by epi President Mr. Peter Thomsen and a European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) delegation headed by Executive Director Mr. João Negrão held a bilateral meeting at the EUIPO headquarters in Alicante, Spain. This event served as an opportunity for both organisations to discuss their missions, operations, and shared commitment to promoting intellectual property rights and respect to those rights, to foster innovation across Europe.

On 29 November, the epi’s Biotechnology Committee and the DG1 of the European Patent Office had a significant and fruitful meeting took place at the EPO Den Haag, making a welcome return to epi BC/DG1 collaboration after a break of a few years.
